Every day the Amazon loses millions of trees for different reasons: illegal minery, livestock, wood industry, etc… but the is one that has gone unnoticed. One that is causing a bigger impact every year: The aguaje harvest. A little fruit that grows in the jungle of Peru.
This is because of the 35 meters (115 foot) that separate the fruit from the ground makes cutting down the palm tree, where it grows, the quickest solution to get it.
The growing demand for aguaje lead to the deforestation if over one million hectares, that’s the size of 800 thousand professional soccer fields.
Idea:
We took the engine of the chainsaws to create a tool that can climb the palm tree of aguaje without harming it. Turning the weapon into the solution.
Vertical Bike is a very compact vehicle that can be easily transporteh thrught the jungle and help many communities that live from the harvest of the aguaje.
Altoguth this project took more than 2 years of development, it is patent-free so everyone can have access to it.
